Setting Up the Table with Simple and Advanced Search, Filter, Multi-Select, Reordering, and Resizing

After installing the table, you can configure its settings by pressing Edit, where you’ll see three main tabs: Table Settings, Headers, Rows, and Columns, and Filter.  Fields to note from each of these include:

1. Table Settings

This tab includes the primary data connections for the table:

  • Data Document Name: Select the Data Document that serves as the data source for the table. This connects the table to the relevant dataset.

  • Data Relationship: Specify the View created within the Data Document. This allows the table to display data from specific views, useful for filtering or segmenting data in advance.

2. Headers, Rows, and Columns

This tab allows you to configure the buttons and data displayed within the table:

  • Table Header Buttons: These are buttons at the top of the table, independent of individual entries. They are typically used for actions like Create New Entry or other general actions that apply to the entire dataset.

  • Selected Row Options: These buttons appear only when multiple entries are selected. Commonly used for bulk actions, such as Delete Multiple entries at once.

  • Table Row Buttons: These buttons are tied to individual entries and are visible when hovering over a specific row. Examples include Edit, Delete, and Change Status.

  • Table Columns: Define which data fields will be displayed in the table. Examples might include columns for Name, Contact Information, Address, and other key fields relevant to the data document.

3. Filter

Configure the filtering options available to users:

  • Simple and Advanced Filters: Set up both simple and advanced filters to enable users to narrow down results based on specific criteria. Simple filters allow for quick searches, while advanced filters can support multiple conditions, such as filtering by date ranges, categories, or status.

The Table with Simple and Advanced Search, Filter, Multi-Select, Reordering, and Resizing offers a comprehensive solution for interacting with complex datasets. By configuring table settings, headers, row options, columns, and filters, this component provides users with the flexibility to navigate, customize, and manage data effectively within the app.
