Vocabulary Management in Naologic: Creating and Managing Vocabulary Items

Naologic's Vocabulary Management is a powerful tool designed to help you create, approve, and manage vocabulary items, their alternatives, variations, and translations. This feature ensures that your content remains consistent and high-quality across your organization. In this article, we will discuss the process of creating and managing vocabulary items in Naologic.

Navigating to Vocabulary Management

To access Vocabulary Management, click the "Vocabulary Management" button in the top global navigation. This will take you to the Vocabulary Overview Table, where you can view and manage your vocabulary items.

Creating a New Vocabulary Item

  1. Click the "Create New Vocabulary Item" button at the top of the Vocabulary Table.

  2. Fill in the necessary information in the "Item Basics" tab, including the root item, item description, format, speech type, tense, vocabulary type, theme, compatibility, item relationship, and any assets you wish to attach.

  3. Move to the "Alternatives and Variations" tab to generate different versions of your root item. Specify the number of alternatives, tone of voice, and priority for each alternative.

  4. Generate variations and tenses for your root item, with up to 25 variations per word.

  5. In the "Translations" tab, define the target language and choose the translator. The preview below will show the translated root item, alternatives, and variations.

  6. Once satisfied with your vocabulary item, click "Create Item" to add it to the Vocabulary Management Table.

Managing Vocabulary Items

To manage your vocabulary items, hover over the item until the "Options" button appears. Available options include:

  • Approve: Approve an item with the status "Awaiting Approval." Only approved items can be taken live.

  • Edit: Make changes to the vocabulary item.

  • Reject: Deny approval for an item that does not meet your organization's requirements.

  • Delete: Remove a vocabulary item permanently.

Understanding Vocabulary Item Statuses

There are several statuses associated with vocabulary items in Naologic:

  • Awaiting Approval: The default status for newly created items. These items are not yet live.

  • Approved: An item has been manually approved but is not yet live.

  • Live: The item is approved and available for use in generated content from the lesson creator.

  • Unpublished: A live item that has been removed from use in lessons or other areas within the workspace.

Naologic's Vocabulary Management module enables you to create, approve, and manage vocabulary items, ensuring consistency and high-quality content across your organization. Vocabulary Management in Naologic: Creating and Managing Vocabulary Items

Naologic's Vocabulary Management is a powerful tool designed to help you create, approve, and manage vocabulary items, their alternatives, variations, and translations. This feature ensures that your content remains consistent and high-quality across your organization. In this article, we will discuss the process of creating and managing vocabulary items in Naologic.

Navigating to Vocabulary Management

To access Vocabulary Management, click the "Vocabulary Management" button in the top global navigation. This will take you to the Vocabulary Overview Table, where you can view and manage your vocabulary items.

Creating a New Vocabulary Item

  1. Click the "Create New Vocabulary Item" button at the top of the Vocabulary Table.

  2. Fill in the necessary information in the "Item Basics" tab, including the root item, item description, format, speech type, tense, vocabulary type, theme, compatibility, item relationship, and any assets you wish to attach.
