User prompts are essential data points in Naologic's DataGym, as they help you analyze and optimize AI performance by refining both the user prompts and AI responses. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of working with user prompts to improve AI behavior and user satisfaction.
Understanding User Prompts and AI Responses
User prompts are real customer conversations, along with their corresponding AI responses. By examining these interactions, you can gain insights into how your AI model performs in actual use cases and make necessary improvements.
Improving User Prompts and AI Responses
Locate the user prompt you want to improve within the table.
Hover over the prompt to reveal the "Improve" button and click on it.
You now have two options:
Suggest a better prompt: Offer a more effective way of asking the question from the user's perspective.
Suggest a better response: Provide a more desirable response from the AI.
Identify which AI backstory the prompt is associated with, as this will help you understand the context of the interaction.
After making improvements, update the prompt accordingly.
Decide whether to include or exclude the prompt in future AI models. If you find the response or question undesirable, you can exclude it, ensuring that the AI won't respond in the same manner in the future.
Creating Manual Prompts
Creating manual prompts can be useful when you're building a new AI training model and lack sufficient production data. Manual prompts allow you to simulate conversations and refine AI responses before deploying them in real-world scenarios.
Use the "Create Prompts" feature to generate manual prompts.
