Understanding Item Basics for Your Naologic Workspace
Items in Naologic allow you to manage both non-hardware services, such as consulting services, and physical products. This article will provide an in-depth guide on creating, managing, and categorizing items in your Naologic workspace.
Navigating to Items
To access the Items table, follow these steps:
Locate the Items tab in the top navigation.
Click on the Items tab to open the Items table.
The Items table displays columns for item name, type, availability, status, and creation date.
Creating a New Item
To create a new item, follow these steps:
Click the button to create a new item.
Fill in the necessary information, including:
Item name
Inventory or non-inventory item type
Short and long descriptions
Item availability (available or unavailable)
Item category
Upload up to five item images for promotional and marketing purposes. Images must be in PNG or JPEG format with dimensions and sizes no larger than 2MB.
Fill in variant information (refer to the variant article for more details).
Provide vendor information, including vendor name, manufacturer name, and whether the item is taxable or non-taxable.
Indicate any special shipping considerations, such as item fragility, for shipping providers to consider.
Specify the item's relationship to your storefront, choosing whether the item should be published or unpublished. If published, the item will be visible immediately upon creation.
Determine price visibility for storefront visitors. Choose whether the item's price should be visible to all visitors or only to registered guests.
Deleting an Item
To delete an item, follow these steps:
In the Items table, locate the item you want to delete.
Hover over the item to display the Delete button.
Click the Delete button and confirm the action to remove the item from your workspace.
