Understanding Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) Basics

Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) play a crucial role in medical distribution and wholesale. Naologic offers a dedicated GPO module to help you manage all your contracts efficiently in one place. In this article, we'll discuss the basics of GPOs and guide you through creating and managing GPO contracts using Naologic's GPO module.

Accessing the GPO Module

To access the GPO module in Naologic, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Naologic workspace.

  2. Locate and click on the "GPO" tab in the top navigation bar. This will take you to the GPO table, where you can view existing contracts or create a new one.

Creating a New GPO Contract

To create a new GPO contract, follow these steps:

  1. Click the "Create New Contract" button at the top of the GPO table.

  2. Fill in the necessary information, including:

    • Vendor name

    • GPO name

    • GPO contract number

    • Description

    • Start date

    • End date

    • Tier level

  3. Add any relevant notes that may be useful to you or your team members in the designated section.

  4. Click "Save" to add the new contract to your GPO table.

Viewing and Managing GPO Contracts

Once you've created a GPO contract, you can view and manage it within the GPO table. The table displays essential information such as:

  • Vendor name

  • GPO contract name

  • GPO contract number

  • Start date

  • End date

  • Date created

From the GPO table, you can also edit or delete contracts as needed, ensuring that your GPO information is always up to date.
