Select Single-Choice Options with Pre-Defined Data Types

The Radio Button with Data Type Options element allows users to choose one option from multiple predefined choices set as project-wide data types. This feature ensures data consistency and offers a clean, straightforward interface for single-choice selections within your app.

Overview

This element is particularly useful for apps that require standardized input based on pre-set data types, such as selecting payment methods or other categorized options. These data types are defined and stored in the data document beforehand, making it easy to maintain uniform data across the project.

Installation

1. Access the Element Studio:

   • In the Individual App Canvas, hover over the modal where you wish to add the Radio Button with Data Type Options element.

   • Click Access Element Studio.

2. Add the Radio Button with Data Type Options Element:

   • Inside Element Studio, click Add New Block.

   • Use the search bar to find "Radio Button with Data Type Options" and click to add it to the modal.

Setup

1. Connect to a Data Field:

   • Link the radio button to a data field within your app’s data structure where the selected value will be stored.

2. Specify Data Document and Flow Document Data Type:

   • Select the data document that contains the encoded data types.

   • Choose the relevant flow document data type (e.g., "Payment Methods") that holds the static options created earlier.
