Select and Display Multiple Files with Ease

The File Picker (Multiple) allows users to select and preview multiple files from the workspace at once, making it ideal for managing and displaying several files simultaneously. The File Picker Display (Multiple) complements this by visually displaying the selected files within data display modals, allowing for an organized view of multiple files in one place.

Installation

1. Access the Element Studio:

   • In the Individual App Canvas, locate and hover over the modal where you want to add the File Picker (Multiple) or File Picker Display (Multiple) element.

   • Click Access Element Studio.

2. Add the File Picker (Multiple) or File Picker Display (Multiple):

   • Inside Element Studio, click Add New Block.

   • Use the search bar to find either "File Picker (Multiple)" or "File Picker Display (Multiple)" and click on it to add it to the modal.

Configuring the File Picker 

1. Connect to a Data Field:

   • Link the File Picker (Multiple) to a data field in the data document. This field will store information about the selected files, enabling them to be previewed or referenced as needed.

2. Data Document Selection:

   • Select the Data Document Name from which files will be chosen. This document should contain the data relevant to the files available for selection.

3. Specify Search Fields:

   • Choose the Search Fields to help locate files within the selected data document. Fields such as file name, type, or upload date can streamline the file selection process.

With the File Picker (Multiple) and File Picker Display (Multiple) elements, you can efficiently manage and display multiple files within your app, providing users with an organized way to preview several files directly within data display modals.
