Overview of the Element Studio
The Element Studio in Naologic is an integral part of configuring each modal within your application. This tool allows you to set up, customize, and manage data inputs and displays for different elements in a modal, depending on the specific needs of each modal’s functionality. The Element Studio includes settings that help define both the visual interface and the data interaction layers of your app.
Accessing Element Studio Settings
To access the Element Studio settings, you can either:
Click on the cog icon located at the top right of the Element Studio.
Or click directly on the header at the top left of the Element Studio interface.
Once in the settings, you will see two main tabs: Basics and Plugins.
Basics
The Basics tab allows you to customize the modal's copy and user prompts. Here’s what you can configure:
Title: Set the title for the modal’s header. For example, if you’re configuring a "Create Entry" modal, you could set the title to "Create New Request" to give users clear guidance on the modal's purpose.
Button Text (Inactive State): Customize the text displayed on action buttons when they are inactive. This can be useful to clarify the action, like "Save Changes" or "Submit Request."
Button Text (Saving Changes): Customize the text displayed on action buttons when they are in the process of saving data, such as "Saving Changes" or "Submitting…", to give feedback to the user during action completion.
Plugins
The Plugins tab is where you tie the Element Studio to your application's data documents and actions, allowing the modal to interact with specific backend data structures. Here’s what you can configure:
Data Documents: Link the modal to specific data documents, enabling it to store, retrieve, or display data entries.
Actions: Associate actions like Search, Retrieve, or Delete to define how the modal interacts with data entries, making it possible to build functionalities such as search fields, edit options, or delete buttons.
With the Element Studio Settings, you can create modals that align with your app’s data structure and provide clear guidance for users.
