Create Custom Selection Lists for Enhanced User Interaction

The Dropdown with User-Defined Values element allows you to provide customizable dropdown lists directly within your application. Users can add their own options dynamically, making personalized selection easy and efficient.

Installation

  1. Access the Element Studio:

    • In the Individual App Canvas, hover over the modal where you want to add the Dropdown with User-Defined Values element.

    • Click Access Element Studio.

  2. Add the Dropdown with User-Defined Values Element:

    • Inside Element Studio, click Add New Block.

    • Use the search bar to find "Dropdown with User-Defined Values" and click to add it to the modal.

Setup

  1. Connect to a Data Field:

    • Link the dropdown to a data field from your app’s data structure where selected values will be stored.

  2. Set Maximum Options:

    • Specify the maximum number of options users can create.

  3. Select Multi-Select Option:

    • Decide whether the dropdown will allow multiple selections or limit users to a single choice.

  4. Add Basic Copy:

    • Customize any instructional text or labels to guide users when interacting with the dropdown.

The Dropdown with User-Defined Values element is a flexible tool that enhances user interaction by enabling them to define their own options.
