Select Options from Predefined Document Data Types

The Dropdown Menu with Document Data Type allows users to select from a list of options that are statically configured within a document data type. This feature ensures that your forms integrate seamlessly with your data, making selections more efficient and aligned with your stored documents.

Installation

Access the Element Studio:

  1. In the Individual App Canvas, locate and hover over the modal where you wish to add the Dropdown Menu (Document Data Type) element.

  2. Click Access Element Studio.

Add the Dropdown Menu (Document Data Type) Element:

  1. Inside Element Studio, click Add New Block.

  2. Use the search bar to find "Dropdown Menu (Document Data Type)" and click to add it to the modal.

Setup

Configure the Dropdown Menu:

  1. Connect to a Data Field: Link the dropdown to a data field where the selected data will be stored.

  2. Select Data Document and Data Type:

    • Navigate to the Plugins tab.

    • Choose the Data Document that contains the static data type options.

    • Select the specific Data Type within the document that will be used to populate the dropdown options.

The Dropdown Menu (Document Data Type) is ideal for forms requiring selections from predefined options, ensuring consistency and relevance by pulling data directly from your structured documents.
