Enable Multiple-Choice Selections with Custom Values

The Checkbox element allows you to create lists of selectable options for users. This versatile element is ideal for scenarios where multiple choices need to be presented, collected, and connected to a data field.

Installation

  1. Access the Element Studio:

    • In the Individual App Canvas, locate and hover over the modal where you wish to add the Checkbox element.

    • Click Access Element Studio.

  2. Add the Checkbox Element:

    • Inside Element Studio, click Add New Block.

    • Use the search bar to find "Checkbox" and click to add it to the modal.

Setup

  1. Create Multiple Options:

    • Add as many checkbox options as needed, each representing a different choice for users.

  2. Assign Values:

    • Give each option a specific value that will be stored when selected

  3. Connect to a Data Field:

    • Link the checkbox items to a data field within the app's data structure where user selections will be recorded.

The Checkbox element simplifies the creation of multiple-choice input sections, making it easier to gather user preferences or feedback. With customizable options and direct data field integration, it’s a practical addition for a variety of app use cases.
