Displaying Data in a Chat Format
The Chat-style Data Display element presents structured data in a familiar chat format, often used for displaying conversation-like or timeline-based information. This element is typically used within data display modals to show a sequence of notes or updates in a way that resembles a chat interface.
Installation
Access the Element Studio:
In the Individual App Canvas, locate and hover over the modal where you want to add the chat-style display.
Click Access Element Studio.
Add the Chat-style Data Display Block:
Inside Element Studio, click Add New Block.
Search for "Chat-style Data Display" and click on it to add it to the modal.
Setup
Field Data Connection:
Select the data field containing the information you want to display in chat format. This should be a field where data entries (like notes or messages) have been inputted and stored.
Title, Description, and Message Name Fields:
Title: Enter a title to label the chat-style display.
Description: Provide additional context or instructions. For instance, you could include a reminder about the implications of the data shown.
Message Name: This is typically a prompt or warning message for users, like a confirmation note before proceeding with an action. The content here is flexible based on the use case.
The Chat-style Data Display element is ideal for applications where users need to see sequential updates, such as conversation histories or logs of system actions. It can be used to display employee notes, ticket updates, or other time-based entries in a chat-like view for easy reference.
