Overview of QuickBooks
QuickBooks is a popular accounting software solution that helps businesses manage finances by tracking income and expenses, handling invoicing, and maintaining accurate financial records. Integrating QuickBooks with Naologic allows you to automatically sync invoice data, streamlining your financial workflows and ensuring consistency across platforms.
With the QuickBooks integration, you can:
Sync Invoices: Automatically synchronize invoice data between Naologic and QuickBooks, reducing manual data entry.
Installing the QuickBooks API in Naologic’s Builder
To set up the QuickBooks API for syncing invoices, follow these steps:
Install the QuickBooks API:
Go to your app's canvas.
Click on the plus sign on the left to open the element selection menu.
Navigate to the APIs section.
Search for "QuickBooks" and press Install to add it to your project.
Add QuickBooks API Action to the Canvas:
After the QuickBooks API is installed, go to the API Actions section.
Search for "QuickBooks" and drag the Sync Invoices action onto the canvas.
Configure the action by connecting it to the relevant data document and setting up the required fields.
Connecting Naologic to Your QuickBooks Account
To link Naologic with your QuickBooks account, follow these steps:
Access Integration Settings:
Navigate to the top right of the Workspace and click on the cog icon (Settings).
Select Integrations from the settings menu.
Connect to QuickBooks:
In the Integrations menu, find QuickBooks and click Connect.
You will be redirected to the QuickBooks website to authorize the connection.
Follow the prompts on QuickBooks to complete the authorization, which will link Naologic to your QuickBooks account.
Configuring the QuickBooks API Action for Invoice Sync
After adding the QuickBooks Sync Invoices action to your app’s canvas, complete the configuration through the following tabs:
Action Settings:
Connect the Sync Invoices action to the appropriate invoice data document in your app, such as Sales - Invoice, which should contain fields related to invoices and customer information.
Specify settings for the action path, privacy (e.g., "Private"), data sanitization mode, and request execution type.
QuickBooks-Specific Configurations (Sync Invoice):
Select QuickBooks as the integration.
Link the relevant documents for customer accounts, items, and vendors, as well as the following invoice-specific configurations:
Customer Account Document
Items Document
Vendor Document
Invoice Document
Purchase Order Document
This configuration enables synchronization of invoices and updates their status as needed in QuickBooks.
With the QuickBooks integration configured in Naologic, your invoice data will synchronize automatically, helping to keep your financial records accurate and up-to-date with minimal manual effort.
