Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) is a scalable and reliable email service built on the infrastructure that Amazon developed to support its own customer communications. SES allows businesses to send and receive email using their own email domains.

With the Amazon SES integration, you can:

  • Send Emails: Use SES to send emails reliably from your application.

  • Manage Email Deliverability: Leverage Amazon’s infrastructure to improve email deliverability and reliability.

  • Utilize Scalable Email Infrastructure: Use SES’s scalable email sending capabilities to meet varying email volume demands.

Installing the Amazon SES API in Naologic’s Builder

To install the Amazon SES API for your project, follow these steps:

  1. Install the Amazon SES API:

    • Go to your app's canvas.

    • Click on the plus sign on the left to open the element selection menu.

    • Navigate to the APIs section.

    • Search for "SES" and press Install to add it to your project.

Connecting Naologic to Your Amazon SES Account

To establish a connection between Naologic and your Amazon SES account, you’ll need to enter your AWS credentials and email information. Follow these steps:

  1. Access Integration Settings:

    • Navigate to the top right of the Workspace and click on the cog icon (Settings).

    • Select Integrations from the settings menu.

  2. Connect to Amazon SES:

    • In the Integrations menu, find SES and click Connect.

    • You will need to enter the following information from your AWS account:

      • Access Key ID: Your AWS Access Key ID.

      • Secret Access Key: Your AWS Secret Access Key.

      • AWS Region: The AWS region where your SES service is hosted (e.g., us-east-1).

      • Email: The email address you will use for sending communications.

    • Once all required fields are filled, click Connect to link Naologic with your Amazon SES account.

Creating a Send Email Action for SES

To use the SES integration for sending emails, you need to create an action in Naologic with the "send email" hook. This action configuration enables SES to send emails based on your specified parameters.

  1. Add a Send Email Action:

    • Go to API Actions on your app’s canvas.

    • Create a new action with the "send email" hook.

  2. Configure the Action Settings:

    • Link the action to the appropriate data document (e.g., Contact).

    • Set up the required fields, such as the email template, data pointers for customer ID, document link, and email address.

    • Use the SES integration to generate email links that can direct users to specific documents (e.g., quotes or invoices) within the app.

Once connected, the Amazon SES integration allows you to send emails directly from your Naologic application, utilizing Amazon's reliable email infrastructure for seamless communication.
