Understanding the Canvas Navigation

The Naologic Builder canvas is the primary interface where you design and build your applications. Understanding the canvas navigation is essential for efficient project development. This section will guide you through the key navigation elements and best practices.

Navigating the Canvas

  1. Identify and click on the project you wish to navigate. You'll be directed to the overview canvas of your project.

  2. In the top left corner, you’ll be able to use breadcrumbs or use the back arrow. Use the breadcrumbs at the top of the canvas to navigate between project levels. Alternatively, click the back arrow to go back to the previous screen.

  3. Here, you'll also see the name of your project along with options for "Build" and "Infrastructure". Switching to "Infrastructure" will take you to the infrastructure canvas, which is necessary for developers. However, for most projects and builders, staying in the "Build" tab is sufficient.

  4. In the middle left of the Canvas, you’ll find the "+" button, which allows you to add new elements, modules, or other components to your project.

  5. At the bottom left of the canvas you can find the app navigation section that allows you to quickly switch between the open apps in your project.

  6. The top right corner of the canvas contains various options and settings, as follows:

    1. Project Configuration: A dropdown menu for modifying project data controls and accessing help and documentation.

    2. Logic Pilot: The integrated AI assistant.

    3. Workspace Overview: The four dots square take you to the Sandbox or Production link of your published app.

    4. Activity Indicator: The cloud icon shows app publication history.

    5. Publish Button: The button for publishing your app.

    6. Access Sharing: The letter bubbles indicate who has access to the project canvas.

    7. Share Button: The button for sharing access to the project canvas.

    8. Zoom Controls: The zoom level indicator and buttons for adjusting the zoom. Zoom levels can also be controlled using CTRL+Mouse ScrollUp/ScrollDown.

By mastering these navigation techniques, you can efficiently move around the Naologic Builder canvas and focus on creating and customizing your applications. Effective navigation will help you work more productively and achieve your project goals.
