Modify existing records within your app with ease.

The Update Existing Data Entry action in Naologic allows users to update a specific record in a database or dataset. This action is useful for scenarios where users need to alter field values or modify other attributes of an existing record, such as updating a customer’s contact information.

Installation for Update Existing Data Entry

1. Navigate to the Desired Project:

   • From the Builder Overview, locate and select the project where you want to add the update action.

2. Access the Individual App Canvas:

   • Within the selected project, hover over the desired app and click Access App Flow to open the app where you want to add the action.

3. Open Add Elements:

   • Click the "+" button on the left side of the app canvas to open the Add Elements menu.

4. Search for Update Existing Data Entry Action:

   • Go to User Interface > Actions and use the search bar to locate Update Existing Data Entry.

5. Drag and Drop to Install:

   • Drag the action onto the app canvas to install it within your project.

Setup for Update Existing Data Entry

1. Configure Action Settings:

   • After installation, hover over the action and click Edit to access the configuration panel.

   • In the Action Settings section, select the Data Document where the record you want to update is stored. This links the action to the correct data source, enabling it to make updates to the specified records.
